Our green vision
The constant collaborations with brands, and never-ending research on the lowest environmental impact, have led to the implementation and development of new production methods with a low environmental impact.
Use of Environmentally Friendly Chemicals
The chemicals used in the production process are all compliant with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals).
Furthermore, over 80% (of those used in our production process) are registered on the voluntary Gateway ZDHC platform.
The Gateway ZDHC platform is an online database developed under the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) program, a global initiative that promotes
the elimination of hazardous chemicals from the textile, tanning, and footwear supply chains to ensure consumers receive a safe product.
This portal allows manufacturers to verify the compliance of chemicals used in their processes with ZDHC standards, promoting greater transparency
and environmental sustainability.
In practice, companies can consult the Gateway ZDHC to select safer chemicals, ensuring responsible chemical management and reducing the environmental impact of production.
All raw materials used in our production processes are subjected to stringent controls and tests along the entire supply chain,
ensuring that the finished leather meets the highest ecological and environmental standards.
Traceability and Animal Welfare
The hides we use come exclusively from cattle raised and slaughtered for food purposes.
We guarantee complete traceability of the raw materials, from the slaughterhouse to the finished product.
Our suppliers are required to ensure animal welfare by adhering to specific certifications and respecting the "Five Freedoms,"
which ensure adequate nutrition, freedom of movement, veterinary checks, a natural life cycle, and physical and psychological well-being.
Contribute to Climate Change
The energy used by the company comes 100% from renewable sources, part of which is self-produced through the photovoltaic system installed on the tannery’s roof.
Each year, a Thermographic Survey allows us to monitor and reduce any energy losses, improving consumption efficiency.
We adopt a Plastic-Free approach, eliminating the use of plastic in our processes and opting for more sustainable solutions.
We pay particular attention to reducing water consumption during processing, implementing technologies and practices aimed at minimizing waste.
For our packaging, we exclusively use 100% recycled paper, further reducing our environmental impact.
